Island Late '69  to '72

Original Members:

David Vaughan, '67 Drums
Rich Heinz, '69 Bass & Organ
Jon Close,  (SF) Organ

Billy Hoyt, (SF) Guitar Added in 1970

*Bruce Johnson '66 Manager/Road Mgr.
*Dean Atkinson '68  Equipment Mgr./Roadie/Sound Man

The band formed in late '69 and moved to S. Lake Tahoe to woodshed in the pines. We had a nice big house with no neighbors close by in Meyers which is remote. Moved to SF in 70 and lived in Mill Valley, Lincoln Park (Panhandle) Bernal Heights, Pacifica and Daly City.

Richie ended up staying in the area for awhile after Bruce, David and Dean returned to the San Diego Area.

I think this group was called Nimbus.
